Bamboo, Books, Collectables and Pre-Owned Equipment
Fly-fishing has many facets beyond casting a feathery imitation at a fishing query. This sport has developed a substantial literature over the last 600 years.
- Collecting historic rods, reels and other fly-fishing implements is another aspect of the sport.
- Fly tying is a substantial hobby for many fly fishermen. Books and entire monthly magazines are devoted to tying. (The local North Arkansas Fly Fishers holds a three-day tying event called the Sowbug Roundup every year in March.)
- Finally, rod making, rod restoration and rod collecting are also enjoyable aspects of fly-fishing. Bamboo rods are collected, constructed and fished.
We Enjoy This History...
Owner, George Peters and his other guides at Roundhouse Shoals are interested in all aspects of fly-fishing. Here at Roundhouse we are glad to discuss, buy and sell fly-fishing books, collectibles and bamboo rods.
